Meret: MapleStory 2's premium currency. Merets are bought with NX, which is in turn bought with real world currency either in-game or on Nexon's official website. Blue merets are obtained through NX or selling UGC on the marketplace, while red merets can be earned through events, bundles and contests.
Meso: The normal currency in MapleStory 2. It can be used to buy many items from NPCS or other players on the Black Market. Mesos can be earned through various in-game activities, such as fighting monsters or running dungeons.

UGC: Stands for User Generated Content. Players have many opportunities to create and upload their own content in the game, ranging from clothing and weapons to sign posts within the world.
