Role[]

Priests can restore lost HP and remove debuffs from allies. As a result, they can generate as much of a threat (if not more) than a main tank. However, Priests tend to not last long when they are attacked by multiple enemies at once. Therefore, they should still be protected to ensure the future survival of the group.

Tips[]

  • Some abilities can be cast while jumping, which can help you attack while chasing after mobile enemies, or position yourself better while attacking. The abilities that can be cast while jumping are:
  1. Celestial Light
  2. Holy Blast
  3. Shield of the Archon
  4. Healing Prayer
  5. Scourging Wave
  6. Celestial Blessings
  7. Celestial Guardian
  8. Angelic Ray
  9. Holy Symbol
  10. Smiting Aura
  • Make sure that you always have the Celestial Light debuff on an enemy at all times since it will greatly enhance your Spirit regeneration through your passive ability Steadfast Faith. Your Holy Blast will also do much more damage if you cast it on an enemy that is debuffed by Celestial Light.
  • Timing matters when you are jump casting your abilities on Priest. For example, casting Healing Prayer right after jumping can be used to heal an ally at a higher altitude, but it won't heal allies that are beneath you as you are jumping. If you press the ability at the peak of your jump, the heal will affect allies at the same altitude as when you started. This same thing applies to your Celestial Blessings.
  • Your dash ability Heavenly Wings will automatically target an ally if you are dashing in the direction of an ally. This can result in some unfortunate and frustrating results where you are trying to dash to avoid an attack, only to dash in place or move an inch from where you were. To avoid this, be aware of the positioning of yourself and your allies, and try to either just walk instead of dashing, or dash away from your allies.
  • Celestial Blessings is a very powerful heal that increases the damage of your allies. If possible, try to keep the buff constantly up on your allies.
  • Holy Symbol is an extremely powerful ability that will greatly increase your team's damage for a short duration. However, the cooldown is extremely long, so make sure that it does not get interrupted, or that you use it at an opportune time, since it won't be as useful if the enemy has temporary increased defenses, or if your team's damage is debuffed.
  • Angelic Ray also heals allies, so consider that option when your ally is in need of immediate healing but you are too far away and your Celestial Blessings is on cooldown.
  • Smiting Aura is a great ability when killing World Bosses since it increases the damage of every single player attacking that World Boss.
  • Healing is base on your magic attack and not weapon attack, so you can heal without a scepter since it requires a codex to heal.
