Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Hof's Herb Guide: (The recipe book was on top of the wardrobe, just like Jason said. You start leafing through the pages.)
Hof's Herb Guide: Pg. 15 | Mushmint
Especially effective for boosting energy and overcoming fatigue. It usually takes root near sources of fresh water, such as riversides or near waterfalls. To Prepare: Sun-dry and submerge in 1 cup Potion Solvent. Bring to boil, stirring until homogeneous.
Hof's Herb Guide: Pg. 40 | Cornelian Cherry
Tasty, but no real medicinal value. Grind fruit to extract juice, or boil as tea. Often takes root between rocks within warm mountainous regions. Fruit best collected in spring.
Hof's Herb Guide: Pg. 89 | Golden Apple
Remarkable fruit, boosts metabolism and warms the body. Especially good for replenishing energy. Can be eaten whole, juiced, or blended. Its extract is used in numerous commercial medicines. It is often found in Logger's Hill and Spectrumwood.
(Golden Apple, eh? If this book is right, the fruit could be the key to Rael's recovery. You should go to Logger's Hill or Spectrumwood and collect some.)

Quest Completion[edit | edit source]

Maneh: <character name>, you're back. What's that you've got there in your hand? Did Mr. Hofmann help you find an herb that could help my dear granddaughter?
Maneh: An... apple? Well, whatever works! Thank you very much. So, how is Mr. Hofmann these days?
> Uhh... Doesn't Rael need that medicine-fruit?
Maneh: Oh, I'd hate to disturb the poor dear while she's resting. She's lasted this long, after all.
> He seems generally miserable about life.
Maneh: Oh no, what a shame. Is there a problem with his home life?
> He and his wife are pretty much fed up with each other.
Maneh: Oh my... It's easy to forget how precious family is. When someone is such a regular part of your life, sometimes you take them for granted.
Maneh: Families should sacrifice for each other, and embrace one another no matter their flaws. After all I've lost, I would never neglect someone who meant so much to me.

Objective[edit | edit source]
